Panama City Beach 2009

A few weeks ago, we packed the car and headed down Highway 27 to Panama City Beach. Friends of our family have a condo there and they graciously offered it to us for a mini-vacation before school started back. The trip was exactly what we needed. No plans, no schedule...just the three of us and the Gulf, sand and sunshine.

We spent four fabulous days there and found a few great local restauants (Blue Top Waffle Shop and Billy's Oyster Bar were our favorites), spent time at St. Andrew's State Park, and even took one afternoon to drive to Fort Walton Beck to visit Lee's uncle Larry. Annika had so much fun playing in the sand, the water and the swimming pool at the condo.

Thank you Don and Sarah for letting us stay at your place! We had a great time! The morning that we were leaving, Lee and Annika headed to the pool while I finished the laundry and cleaned up the condo. This was Annika's reaction when I came and told them that we were ready to head home!
