What a beautiful day!

Today we spent the day with Lee's family. Everyone came over for lunch to celebrate Lee's birthday! It was a beautiful day and se spent a lot of the afternoon outside soaking up the sunshine! This morning, we also officially joined Trinity United Methodist Church, where we have been attending since last November. It is a great church downtown Rome that has welcomed us since the first day we attended, and we are looking forward to becoming more involved in this very busy congregation!

We are very fortunate to have stayed safe through the horrible storms and tornadoes that came through our area over the weekend. Within 24 hours, several tornadoes were spotted in North Georgia and as far south as downtown Atlanta. Our neighborhood wasn't damaged and we never lost power, but there were several other areas of Rome and North Georgia that were not as lucky when the storms rolled through on Saturday afternoon.

We also celebrated Lee's birthday with friends on Thursday night. We had a great Irish-themed dinner at Ballenger's, and then came back to our house to watch LOST. It was a great time, with good friends and wonderful food!

So, now we are preparing for another busy week, and excited that aunt Gina will be coming up to visit on Thursday! We can't wait to see her again!
