The big 3-0

I turned 30 this past weekend! On Thursday night I went out for dinner with three friends and we enjoyed great Italian food, wine and dessert while we caught up on each other's lives. On Friday, I took the day off, relaxed and enjoyed the day. On Saturday, Lee and I headed to Atlanta, and Annika spent a few days with Curtis and Debbie. Lee & I toured the High Museum of Art, had an incredible dinner at The Melting Pot, and stayed overnight in Midtown at the Hotel Indigo. What a great hotel! We enjoyed having a night to ourselves, knowing that Annika was well taken care of and probably being spoiled!

The only turn of the weekend that I could have done without was a dead car battery at the High, with only an hour to spare before our dinner reservations! We ended up driving around Atlanta for an hour just trying to find an auto parts store in Midtown (FYI - there isn't one - we ended up near Little Five Points before we found an Auto Zone). We made it to dinner, and enjoyed three incredible courses of fondue. We also walked the streets of Atlanta into the wee hours of the morning, and enjoyed a few beverages at the Vortex. I felt old. :)
