Annika had two big "firsts" this weekend! She took 4 steps on Saturday without holding on to ANYTHING - too bad Lee didn't see it, but I certainly did. She hasn't tried since, probably because I made such a big scene that it scared her to death, but now we know that she is on her way to walking!
On Sunday, we took Annika for her first real bike ride outside of our neighborhood. We went with Todd and Susan to the Silver Comet Trail, a rail trail that runs through part of Polk and Paulding Counties. We went through a huge tunnel that the railroad used to travel through, and spent several hours on the trail. Annika did so well on this first long trip, but when she got tired, she just layed her head down on the headrest of the bicycle seat and took a short nap!
