This past Saturday was Christmas at our house. We are planning on spending the actual Christmas day in Michigan, but wanted to open our presents and enjoy "Christmas" at home as well. So, Saturday morning we waited patiently - until 9:15am - for Annika to wake up. She opened up her presents and we enjoyed a great breakfast as a family. It was so much fun because she understands the whole "opening presents" idea this year. And, she gets pretty excited about everything, even if she doesn't know what it is. Her favorite gift by far was the
Little People Busy Day House. She played so well with it, and we had never seen her play like this before - so interested in each room and the little "mommy", "daddy" and "baby". Her play is really getting much more sophisticated, and it's fun to watch her learn about new things. She also got a small piano, which she had fun playing with while breakfast was cooking!
On Saturday afternoon, Lee's family came over and we celebrated Christmas with all of them. We enjoyed watching the kids play, and again - gifts and food! Annika got a great little SUV to go along with her Little People house, and was really excited about that. She spent the entire afternoon playing with all of her cousins and having a great time!
After everyone left and the house was cleaned up, we loaded up the car and got a few short hours of sleep...then headed out the door to Michigan!
