Another catch-up post

So, for two weeks I haven't posted anything here because I hadn't written about Annika's birthday party yet. Am I a bad mom, or what?!?! :) Truth is, it wasn't too exciting, and there's not a lot to write about. We had a small group of family and friends over, ate good food and cupcakes, opened a few gifts and that's it! Maybe next year will be more exciting, but this year was perfect for Annika. Not overwhelming, and she had a good time playing with the few kids that were here.

And so now for the catch-up post on what we've been doing for a few weeks (with photos, of course!):

We've made cookies - Annika helping for the first time in the kitchen...

We've enjoyed (probably) the last burst of warm weather here in the South playing outside...

We've gone to a few Pepperell football games to cheer on the Dragons (with Jon, Mandy and Kirk - Lee teaches at PMS and Jon teaches at PHS)...

I've discovered Ravelry.com (a.k.a. "Facebook for knitters"), where I can now log all my knitting projects, which has prompted me to finally finish a few, and "frog" a few others that I know I will never complete...

We ventured to Panorama Orchards in Ellijay to get some apples, apple cider doughnuts and fried pies. Annika loved looking at all the pumpkins and riding a little red wagon around the store...

Annika and I went to the New Salem Arts Festival with Debbie while Lee played golf...

We made lots and lots of applesauce, apple butter and one apple pie...

And now we are going to REST! (And hopefully update here more often so that I don't have to do another marathon post like this one...) :)

I love the scarf you're working on! That's beautiful!

Looks like you guys have been having fun in the kitchen. :0) It's so fun when they are big enough to start 'helping!'
