Lee has been busy starting the new semester and adventure of Valdosta State University, an on-line program to receive his Specialist degree. He's also been busy running the time clock for the Pepperell Middle School basketball games, teaching his middle schoolers about fun and exciting things, and playing house with Annika.
I have been busy knitting and learning how to spin my own yarn. It started at my monthly knitting group where a lady brought one of her homemade drop spindles and ran through how to spin in about 10 minutes. I gave it a shot and couldn't believe how much fun it was! Within a day I had placed an order online for some roving, and am working on making my own drop spindle so that I have yet one more hobby to occupy my time after Annika goes to bed, while Lee does his homework. I'm sure more updates will come once I figure out what I'm really doing!
And Annika. Well, she is a typical two year old girl that we happen to think is the most brilliant little girl in the world. (I know that all parents think that, but really, we're serious...) :) She is growing so much and talking, talking and talking some more. She likes to play with her baby dolls, make "dinner" in her new kitchen, color endless pictures at the kitchen table, and sing songs. Her favorite song is one that her Grandpa T sang to her when she was a little baby:

Mommy is a lady.
Daddy is a gentleman,
And Annika is a coffee can!
Mommy is a lady.

She yells "coffee can" at the end of the song and just giggles. She's also counting...1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 30, 6, 7, 8, 9...and it's an endless loop. She's noticing cars that go fast, big trucks on the road, and the "yellow O" on the Toys R Us sign near our house. One thing that's just not clicking is the potty training. She just doesn't care. I know one of these days she will, but when?
So, that is our update. Nothing exciting. No pictures. I promise we will try to do something exciting soon so that there is something here to entertain you. Until then...

i'm jealous!! you know how to spin your own yard?? i don't use yarn (obviously)... but shearing a sheep is on my "bucket list"... so maybe i can raise the sheep and shear them... and you can spin the wool!!! :-) Cute pics.
hey lynn... i'm jealous of you spinning your own yarn!! Which sounds kind of silly, i suppose... since i don't actually USE yarn... but shearing a sheep is on my "bucket list". SO... when i get my hobby farm, maybe i can raise the sheep & shear them... and you can spin the wool!!
I would also like to shear a sheep someday...so I will come visit your farm, and we can shear together! It's interesting and a lot of fun. I'm not really good yet, but slowly learning... :)
