Sing us a song, "Miss" Piano man...

This past weekend, Annika and I spent the entire weekend together by ourselves. Lee headed up to Michigan on Friday afternoon with a friend to get the piano from my parents house. It was a quick trip and we knew Annika wouldn't make it there and back so quickly - it's about 13 hours each way - so her and I stayed home and hung out together. We watched lots of movie, went to knitting group, went shopping, did several "art projects" (her new favorite thing) and played Candy Land. She actually beat me on the first game, so we had to keep on playing! I didn't think she would catch on so quickly but she did and had a lot of fun.

Lee and Cameron made it back safely on Monday evening, even after driving through thunderstorms most of the way, and we got the piano inside safe and unharmed. And the most surprising thing is that after that long haul, it's perfectly in tune! Annika is so excited to finally have a "big piano" at home, even though she told Lee "I really wanted a violin!". Ha! I guess we know what we're getting next...

Here she is, doing a stunning rendition of "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star". It really is beautiful!
