Summer vacation

We're finally back from our summer trip to Michigan. We had a great time visiting family and friends and relaxing! Annika spent a lot of time with her Grandma and Grandpa TH. We took Taylor and Haley to the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum, checked out the Street Performers downtown Holland with Kevin and Sandy - then had an Oberon at Boatwerks, enjoyed a birthday party for Taylor and Mom TH, and caught up with Matt and Jo, and the MSU 1510 crew. My, how times have changed, with 6 small children running around! It was great to see everyone and catch up on what is happening in their lives. Annika also experienced the beach for the first time. She loved the sand and the waves at Holland State Park! We will definitely take her back again - she had so much fun! Most importantly, she learned how to crawl! We are enjoying watching her learn and also learning ourselves how much we need to do to really baby-proof our home!

As for now, we are back home and Lee is gearing up to start another school year. His classroom is painted, so we are now decorating and he'll start on lesson plans soon. He'll be teaching Social Studies this year instead of Special Education, so it will be a welcome change! He'll be focusing on Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Now, if he can only stay away from the Wii long enough to write the lesson plans...
