It's been one week since you looked at me...

Monday night, Lee and I headed to Chastain Amphitheater to hear the Barenaked Ladies. We were so exhuasted with summer winding down, but we went to celebrate Lee finishing a tough summer of classes with VSU. The weather was great - still really warm, but there was a great breeze, lower humidity and no rain. We stopped at Harry's Farmer's Market and picked up a picnic dinner and ate at the park while we waited for the concert to start. There were two great opening acts - Angel Taylor and Ben Kweller. Finally BNL took the stage around 9:30 and they were awesome! The only disappointment is the concert got cut short - literally in the middle of their last song, the sound system shut off. We all looked at the time - at 11:00pm on the dot, they just cut the sound system. There is a noise ordinance since the amphitheater is in the middle of a neighborhood, and 11pm is the cut-off, apparently with no exceptions. So, they finished the song with no amps...still a great concert and definitely glad that we were able to go.

This weekend, we headed to Chattanooga to celebrate Braxton's birthday. Annika had so much fun at Pump It Up, and even Lee took his turn on some of the inflatables with the kids. It was great to see family that we don't get to see so often. Now, we are just preparing for the first week back at school with kids. It's just another work week for me, but Lee's gonna be busy!
